Tour description:
Out of the busy city of Paris, we will drive through the picturesque landscape of Normandy to Monet’s house. The water garden he created there was the source for his series water-lilies painting series. We can walk through the lush gardens, breathe in the fragrant air and be transported to the world of peace and serenity of Claude Monet.
In the afternoon, we will explore the splendid palace of Versailles. Chateau de Versailles is one of the most beautiful palace in the world, a model for many European palaces. You will be impressed by the opulent architecture, the lavish interior decor and the sumptuous garden. Moreover, you will be fascinated by the stories of the royal family that I am going to tell you !
This tour is perfect for art and history lovers, and anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the French countryside.
Available from April to October. Versailles is closed on Monday.
Tour itinerary:
- Pick up from your hotel in Paris. Drive to Giverny (about 1h15).
- Skip-the-line entrance to Claude Monet’s last residence.
- Visit the house and stroll through the beautiful gardens, soaking in the seasonal scents.
- Stop by Monet’s tomb in the local cemetery.
- Lunch in the area or on the way to Versailles.
- Skip-the-line entrance to Chateau de Versailles.
- A short walk in the garden.
- Drop off at your hotel in Paris.
Tour duration: 9 hours
Transportation : In private van Mercedes or equivalent with driver.
